Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Role Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, business-critical applications, backup and disaster recovery solutions, cloud synchronization, Linux servers, databases, and project deployments. The role requires close coordination with development, infrastructure, and customer teams to ensure high system availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux-based production, staging, and backup servers.
• Install, configure, and manage enterprise applications such as ERP systems (Odoo), web applications, and supporting services.
• Design, implement, and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions using tools such as rsync, rclone, PostgreSQL backup utilities, and scheduled cron jobs.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases, including backup, restoration, replication, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and maintain web servers such as Nginx and Apache, including SSL/TLS certificates and reverse proxy configurations.
• Monitor system health, server performance, storage utilization, and application availability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Perform application deployments, upgrades, patches, and environment migrations with minimal downtime.
• Configure and maintain VPN connectivity, SSH access, and server security.
• Support cloud storage synchronization and remote backup strategies.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation for system administration tasks.
• Coordinate with developers, QA teams, and clients during deployments and production releases.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during project execution.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms is desirable.
